Travis was born in California but moved to Wyoming as a child, where he was raised and educated. After graduating high school, he served for eight years in the United States Marine Corps as an Economic and Political Intelligence Analyst. After retiring from the Marine Corps, he returned to Wyoming, married his best friend, Melissa, and joined her business, which provided support services for the developmentally disabled.
Travis eventually switched focuses to pursue a degree in accounting and graduated in 2019 from the University of Wyoming with his bachelor’s degree in accounting. He has spent the last five years gaining a wide range of experience in public accounting firms in Wyoming, specializing in tax planning, tax preparation, and bookkeeping for businesses of all sizes. Travis’ business focus led him to work closely with businesses and individuals in the real estate, ranching, oil and gas, and computer technology industries. He is especially passionate about helping small business owners navigate the complexities of accounting cleanups and financial statement analysis to assist these individuals in making the best decisions for their businesses and families’ wellbeing.
When Travis is not at work, he enjoys exploring the Wyoming and Rocky Mountain wilderness with his wife, cooking, sports, and playing and their two chow chows, Eggnog and Tootsie. He can also be found reading whatever he can get his hands on, especially anything that involves world or military history.
